Madatz, Camp Gesher's C.I.T Program, was introduced in 1993. This program, geared towards youths age 17, is quite an intense learning experience. It is structured to develop individual leadership skllls, to teach various counseloring techniques, to educate regarding Habonim Dror Youth Movement ideology, and to nurture the closeness and dynamics of the group. It teaches the young adults through "hands on" experience how to handle chanichim they prepare to becomeafor the next year. The Madatz spend half of their day with their chanichim, assisting madrichim with running activities. Eventually, they will plan and execute their own programming. The second part of their day is spent as a group with their own madrichim learning how to be madrich . Madatz can even choose to shadow a specialist if they demonstrate particular interest in that field. A summer spent as Camp Gesher's Madatz is an incomparable appraoch to facilitate growth, both as cooperating individuals and as future madrichim.
