The trippers are responsible for providing every chanich with a tiyul (overnight camping) experience. Each trip is specialized for the age group attending in order that they enjoy themselves as much as possible while still being challenged. Before the chanichim leave for tiyul, the trippers run a preparatory canoeing peula with their madrichim. Tiyul is perfect for providing chanichim with time outside of the daily routine to connect with their group. Tiyul also teaches independence; the progress each day is based on their effort and they must help gather wood to prepare their own food. |
